Rain

Well, I thought we were going to miss out on our 100% chance of forecasted rain, but I was wrong. Just as Garrison and Cody left on the 4-wheeler to go down the road to a friend's house to explore and hunt arrowheads, the bottom dropped out. I'm sure they got soaked. They'll stay there now until the rain ends, most likely.

I changed the title picture to something greener. I'm tired of winter weather and would like to see the greening of the hills begin.

Whose pasture through the trees?

Not ours, but part of the Walton acreage on the way into ours. We have a much narrower valley and much less open space.

I found my first arrow head on my ranch recently. Actualy, my friend found it while shuffling his feet in boredom waiting for me to get off the cell phone which was ringing constantly at the time. We were down by the creek, looking at my "new" hunting spot. What an odd mix of old and new I thought as I looked at the small crude arrow head, that 2 people stood in the same place at differnt times, oh so very different times, but both driven by the same primal instinct. Seems my "new" spot was discovered long ago!

I've welcomed the rain, after so much snow, snow, and snow.

I am hoping it is an omen of spring.

I heard the omens of spring last night on the way home from work. Spring peepers are out, so spring must not be far away!

I am ready for spring too. Too much white: it is time for color!
