Brrrrrr!
It was 11*F when I checked the temp at 6 a.m. Feels pretty darn cold. Poor duckie can't swim in his pond, but it was funny watching him walk all over it quacking his discontent.
Well because we are in Northern California in the mountains, just under Oregon - it can get that cold but it hasn't gotten this cold since the 70's. We normally go no lower than about 15*F. It got 4.8*F last night but we have a cloud cover and we have rain and snow in the forecast! Supposed to warm up to the 20's this week...
This is a journal of my life among the hills of the Ozarks in Northwest Arkansas. My passions include homesteading, outdoors, and herbs, ginseng, horses, photography, craft and art, and gardening... not necessarily in that order. I am a writer, naturalist, and herbalist, and mother of 3. And in my work-weekdays, I am a metals analyst for an environmental laboratory in Bentonville, AR. Welcome to my life!

Oh wow, isn't that cold for you? We got 3*F last night and that is COLD for us here in N. California!
It's always a possibility at this time of year to have it this cold here. I didn't know it got that cold in CA, though!
Yes, it was 12 degrees where I live and didn't warm up much the whole day.
Today we are starting at 21 degrees, a heat wave!
