The top rails are on the center pieces, but haven't been added to the others yet:
I'll have to put rails on the upper porch, too. We'll assemble those on the porch below and then pull them up to the top with a rope. We still need the siding on the upper levels in front, and some of the east side, too, but we're almost done with everything now.
Chi-chi and Snippy. Both have cockleburs matted into their forelocks, but Snippy's is worst! His is just one big knot. It's almost impossible to get that out of there. When I comb out Chi-chi's he looks like he is sporting an afro, haha.

I've got a photo of our Jack Russell Terrier covered in burrs like that, too! Looks like you are making good progress on the house. You are doing a great job!

LOVE the house! How about posting a pic of the view from the porches? :)
Yes, you really labored on Labor Day. If you got all the cockleburs out, you labored even more.
Love the house and railings.
how can a little short-haired dog get cockleburs?! it must be painful for him to move! i think ours did get into them once and he couldn't stretch out his leg because they'd joined him at the thigh and stomach, lol.
oh, the view from the porch isn't very pretty right now - the old house is right in front of the new house. when we get that one torn down, then i'll post pics :) i might be able to get something without the old house in it, though. that old house is pretty ugly.
gab got the cockleburs out of snippy, but i'm not sure she got them out of comanche's yet.
