Moonshadows

I didn't get around to taking a picture, but for the last few nights the moon has been shining so bright that it was making good moonshadows everywhere. I have a hard time sleeping during full moon to begin with, but with it so bright that it lights up my room it's even harder. But it was beautiful and I got to enjoy sitting on the balcony in the chilly moonlight, listening to whippoorwills and frogs.

Oh to be anywhere it's chilly! We are trying to plan our summer vacation and it's come down to how cool can we find within a week's drive for our dollar amount!

The moonshadows were quite vivid this time, I agree. I was up all night long on the full moon, (catch night) and the moon was intense. I went to park my truck out in the pasture to take a short little rest, and I parked in the shade! Moonshade! I had to laugh! I don't know if that is just habbit or what, but I parked in the shade, at 3:00AM!

It's usually in the 60's at least around here at night, even during the summer. But last night even the breeze was warm. That's unusual. I've been feeling the breath of autumn lately, though. It sneaks down the back of the mountain and takes me by surprise some days. The light is already changing, too...

To park in the shade at 3 a.m.! Now that's extreme and definitely points to some strong moonshadows :)
