Fall Colors

Color is beginning to come in now, each day bringing new hues to the fore. I'll try to get some more later today. These are from several days ago now.

Beautiful photos, Roxann. I'm afraid many of our trees are shedding their leaves early -- before turning color. I guess I'll just have to enjoy your colorful fall pictures -- :)

Our drive to and from Little Rock last week showed little color, just what I called spot color. Lots of yellow, little red, sumac already dead, etc. The year 2001 0r 2002 was the most gorgeous overall color I remember, and maybe one other autumn. I'm sure a drive down A9 would be more breath-taking.

Like Nancy many trees appeared dead and leafless.

I know if I were able to roam a bit, there will be color. A photography teacher once told me you have to rethink autumn in dry years , or years when the conditions have not been right for the chemistry of color. That is very true and often embodies close ups rather than panoramic views.

Very pretty! Ours are only starting to rustle, but no color yet.
