New background

My dad bought a new digital SLR camera, and now I'd like to get one like his. The new background picture for my title block is one of the pictures he took this afternoon. Maybe he'll leave a comment to tell us what kind of camera it is, exactly, so I'll know what to ask for when I get mine...

Thanks! Now you need to make a blog so you can post all the pictures you take with that nice new camera.

And if you'd do it while you're on the trip, I could see the pictures. But you'd have to make small files to post.

that's a very nice camera. But good pictures are made by the photographer. I nave Nikon D50 and a Canon AS1000; I take good and bad photos with boast.

I have been impressed with the Canon as P&S it has remarkable creative features such as zoom, macro, even manual and some semi-auto settings and 10 MP.

a photgrapher of some reknown got his start taking pictures with a B&W Kodak Brownie in the early 40s.

Hi Nitwit,

What I like about his camera that I cannot get from mine is RAW files and the extremely fast reload (not sure of the word, but it means you can snap many pictures in a row without hesitation between frames).

It just increases the odds that I'll get the perfect frame, and the RAW files means I can submit to more markets with an article that has photos attached.

All that said, I've been perfectly happy with the camera I have all this time and it's nothing special.
