This is a journal of my life among the hills of the Ozarks in Northwest Arkansas. My passions include homesteading, outdoors, and herbs, ginseng, horses, photography, craft and art, and gardening... not necessarily in that order. I am a writer, naturalist, and herbalist, and mother of 3. And in my work-weekdays, I am a metals analyst for an environmental laboratory in Bentonville, AR. Welcome to my life!

Congrats! She's adorable. Our first grandchild was born in October, the first girl in my husband's family in 150 years!
